keeping it natural and simple
I like to keep things natural & simple in my treatment roomπΏ
I only use fabrics made from 100% cotton, or other natural fibres such as bamboo or hemp (even down to the clothes I wear).
𫧠These are washed with gentle, planet-skin-friendly detergents. I use white vinegar as an alternative to fabric conditioner because it softens my sheets without coating them, improving their longevity, meaning I have to replace them less often.
These products are refilled at my local zero-waste shop The Bare Alternative in containers I've had for over 8 years! I first picked up secondhand secondhand at a zero-waste shop in Brighton when I lived there. Occasionally, I opt for laundry sheets from my local wholefoods shop, Zeds.
I only use natural, vegan massage waxes from Songbird that are either scented with essential oils, or unscented for my clients who have sensitive skin or would simply prefer that option
My beautiful St Palo burner allows me to release the scent of Palo Santo without actually burning it or producing any smoke, making it last longer and keeping the air clean and smelling divine in the cosy treatment room at The Nook Retreat β¨
I strive to run my business in the same way I strive to live my life - with intention, aligned with my values and trying to tread lightly on our earth π
It's a journey and I'm always open to growing and learning new ways to make my business more planet and people-friendly.
Book yourself a massage today to experience a thoughtful treatment full of intention and loving-kindness.
